Exciting opportunity to manage and develop the procurement set-up for direct production materials in an international, growing pharmaceutical company.
As a Procurement Manager at ALK, you will join the Global Procurement function, which is a geographical diverse, engaged, and informal team, who values skills, knowledge creation, pragmatism and integrity. The Procurement function is present across our sites in US, France, Spain and Denmark and works with all spend types across the full value chain of ALK. As Procurement Manager you will play a key role in managing tactical and strategic procurement at our production site in Denmark. Further you will manage and work with part of ALK’s portfolio of global direct suppliers, together with international production sites, quality functions and other global Procurement Managers.
In close collaboration with management and employees at our production site in Denmark, you will have a steep learning curve and great impact on ALK’s future supply of allergy products to patients across the world.
Your main tasks are:
Your qualifications are a minimum of 4 years’ experience with tactical and strategic procurement, which you may have gained from a pharmaceutical company, or alternative from a closely related industry like speciality chemicals, food ingredients etc.. You will be working across different production departments, quality functions, borders and cultures, which is why organisational flair is a key skill.
You have a Master’s Degree in engineering, pharmacy, business administration, or similar relevant education. It is essential that you are skilled in strategic procurement tools, project mangement and quality management (preferreably Good Manufacturing Practice).
You are a person with a proactive, curious, self-driven and positive mindset. You are very openminded and thrives in navigating in a dynamic and international environment. You are a natural initiator, able to prioritize and establish timelines and structures in your work. You have a can-do attitude, possess integrity and a good understanding of stakeholder management.

- Source new materials for the production, including negotiation, contracting and onboarding
- Manage all existing suppliers and contracts for production materials
- Conduct supplier evaluations
- Supplier management and key contact to suppliers
- Preventive risk management in relation to external supply disruptions
- Plan and execute optimization of supply/suppliers according to Global Procurements value drivers, ie. quality, sustainability, ebit, time and Innovation
- Procurement point of contact for direct materials at Site Hørsholm and point of escalation for local purchaser
- Communication and stakeholder management
