Then here is your unique opportunity to join Maersk as M&A Procurement Program Manager. Here, you will join the Indirect Procurement team, where you will play an active role in the due diligence, transition, execution and implementation of processes and systems for all procurement colleagues in relation to recent and upcoming M&A.

You will have a unique opportunity to work in a truly global business and play a significant role in making our mergers & acquisitions successful by ensuring that procurement considerations are part of the M&A process, from due diligence, to post merger integration.
You will be working closely with the Procurement team across the globe and you will have a direct impact on assessing the procurement practices of potential new targets as well as ensuring that announced acquisitions are integrated to Maersk procurement process and policies.
You will play a key role in coordination all M&A matters related to procurement and work with a variety of stakeholders to help reap the synergies of M&A. The main goal of this role is to contribute in sustaining and growing business in line with the Maersk global integrator strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure our many M&A projects will be a success.
- Act as Project Manager, Consultant, Facilitator, Communicator and Bridge Builder.
- Be a key point of contact and ensure effective communication across different Procurement Teams to align efforts before and after new M&As.
- Ensure that the procurement community is engaged and aligned on what procurement procedures and platforms should be in place once an M&A is finalised.
- Act as change agent, for organisational, business and process transformation.
- Implement and further develop standardised processes for integrating the procurement. organization of newly acquired companies.
- Develop in depth procurement analysis and baselining for target company to identify opportunities and risks.
- Conduct contract reviews to establish possible synergies with Maersk Suppliers, and to compare contract terms and conditions
- Conduct due diligence on procurement practices of potential future M&A targets
- Plan efforts and support the transition for target companies to become fully integrated with Maersk Procurement processes, organisations and contracts according to set deadlines
- Align with other M&A workstreams (ex: finance, legal, operations, IT …) to ensure that interdependencies are addressed
We are looking for

You must thrive in a fast paced, fast changing, and dynamic environment and be a true team player with strong analytical abilities as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You:
- You have 3-5 years of experience from a larger enterprise organisation, with deep knowledge of Procurement
- Are capable of getting stakeholder buy-in and alignment to standard processes and best practice
- Have a structured approach to work and ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Have proven analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail
- Are a self-starter and capable of working independently
- Have the ability to influence without authority and strong interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships at all organizational levels
- Have demonstrated experience in successfully implementing change in complex organizations.
- Have previous experience with M&A integration (preferred)
- Are international in your mind-set supported by high level of proficiency and confidence in spoken and written English
You will have significant responsibility from the start and are expected to execute and deliver on time and with a great sense of detail.
