Do you have a desire to make your mark in the everyday lives of thousands of people, using your digital product development skills and visionary thoughts? Then join us as our new Product Manager!
At DSB Digital Labs, we build internal startups that change the way people travel, commute, and move from A to B. We put sustainability front and center when we design solutions that use the power of public transportation to make smooth journeys for people. We need another bright mind to join us and help drive forward one of our speedboat teams.
As our new Product Manager, you will be joining a committed team of experienced designers, business analysts, developers, and many other nice people on the quest to drive innovation outcomes.
Why we need you
In the lab, we work in two areas: Exploration & Execution. Exploration is our early innovation area that feeds potential startup concepts to the execution part of the lab. Execution consists of two speedboats and one of them needs a new navigator!<br
The speedboat team is currently working on a new leisure booking experience combining events and train journeys when travelling with friends. We have tested a lot with users and have early versions of the product ready.
Now, we need you to help drive it further and see if we can make it scale.
We are ambitious for our products, but, fear not, we will kill our darlings if our tests show us to do so. In that case you will be in the lucky situation to get to drive a brand-new innovation track from scratch.
We like to play foosball, meditate, and end the week together on Fridays, sometimes with a quiz. We need another team member who enjoys spending time with colleagues and building the lab culture together.

Who you are?
As a Product Manager you are a visionary and entrepreneurial leader who is truly user-centric with the passion to create value by aligning business and IT needs when producing and testing new prototypes. You understand how to collect user needs, you know how to convert user insights into hypotheses, and how to formulate ways to validate.
In you role, you will be leading the end-to-end delivery of the prototype product. You are a catalyst leader that supports the team.

Who we are?
Today, Digital Labs works with the overarching vision “We unleash DSB’s innovative potential by creating digital products and services leading us towards a sustainable future.” We do this through two units – Exploration and Execution. Our Exploration unit is looking to the future using strategic foresight and design thinking methodologies to test today what we can offer for our customers in the future.
Our Execution unit is working like two small startups. This means that they will take on concepts that come out of Exploration and form them into real life testable products and services on which we can onboard actual customers. We build it small but dare to think in whole new areas that can change the way we think and act around movement.
Within our units, we have strategic designers, UX designers, digital designers, business analysts, communication specialists, product managers, and a team of developers who all work in a flat organizational structure. All in all, we are today 14 people in the lab from Norway, Sweden, Turkey, Spain, USA, Hungary, China, and Denmark.
The Digital Labs is a separate entity placed in DSB IT but acting across all areas of the business. This is best underlined by the advisory board of the Digital Labs which consists of the board of directors at DSB (with exception of the CEO). We therefore have a broad mandate, and we aim to partner up with the best to honor the faith that has been put on us. Our physical location is in Copenhagen at Otto Busses Vej, close to DSB’s own history and Jernbanebyen.

- Convey the vision of the DSB Digital Labs towards the product team
- Maximize user value in our short and fast prototype development cycle
- Prioritize and manage each sprint’s goals, keep the team on track and prioritize the backlog
- Enable team empowerment, learning and growth
Your tasks and responsibilities
- We believe the answer lies within the team, but the final say will be yours, if needed.
- Driving the team towards the goals set by having time, resources, and other factors in mind
- Encouraging learning in the team
- Building partnerships internally at DSB and externally with tech startups, corporates, or others
- Together with the team members, follow up on objectives and key results goals to promote development
