What this opportunity can offer:
As CMP’s Chief Commercial Officer, you will have a unique opportunity to influence the future of one of the leading Nordic port operators. You will play an instrumental role in defining the commercial direction, shaping a business transformation, and building commercial capabilities within the organisation.
The scope of the role includes driving sales efforts towards existing customers, grow a new customer base, leverage the sales organisation through development and training. Initiate commercial excellence projects across the business segments.
- Grow the top line. With existing clients and with new clients. In existing markets but also exploring new services, markets and hence identify new sources of revenue.
- Optimise synergies and cooperation across both existing and new business areas.
- Drive an increased commercialisation, and a more CMP-holistic approach across the traditional business areas/segments. This includes leading a direct report within each business area.
- Hold the overall commercial responsibility and strengthen the organisation commercially.
- Support and develop the commercial team is an ongoing task, including strengthening the organisation when it comes to competencies, driving the development of new business, initiating commercial excellence projects etc.
Who we are looking for:
- You have commercial acumen and good leadership skills
- You have ideally been working in logistics/supply chain/ industry/maritime for a number of years where you have a proven track record of strengthening the existing customer base and business while at the same time develop the commercial portfolio to include new markets and services
- You have in-depth knowledge of commercial excellence and you have both a traditional sales focus as well as a strong wish to develop new ideas and partnerships
- You navigate with ease in a matrix and strive to be a valuable member of the overall management team, contributing to other agendas as well
- You have a Masters degree in Business or related relevant subject
- You have probably experience from another asset heavy company, understanding both its long-term and short-term implications and opportunities.
- Danish/Swedish/Scandinavian language skills is a must.

- Are a pragmatic, energetic and result oriented leader with ability to communicate and get buy-in for necessary actions during transformation
- Able to balance the strategic and more hands-on assignments
- Enjoy client interaction
- Are enthusing, with a strong ability to adapt the messages to different target groups and individuals
- Are professional and ambitious, yet unpretentious and “easy going” able to fit into all parts of the organisation
- Are a team player
- See opportunities and have the stamina to pursue them
