In Global Procurement & External Supply, we are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to lead procurement activities on our sites in Copenhagen and Oslo
As a Procurement Specialist, you will play an essential part in CAPEX projects and the ongoing operations by being responsible for the procurement and supply of goods and services.
You will lead and execute procurement activities on strategic and tactical level on our production site in Copenhagen and development site in Oslo. In cooperation with projects and operations, you will drive procurement activities from early realization through planning, bidding processes, negotiations, contracting and claims management. Moreover, you will work to secure a continuous material supply and thus contribute to reaching our OTIF targets.
You will work closely with our Category Managers and Procurement Specialists based on other sites in order to implement strategies and policies in site procurement activities as well as to exchange information. Our Service Center, located in Zagreb and Budapest, is also a natural partner.
Since the position will greatly influence our ability to manufacture and bring pharmaceutical products to the market, it is a key to success that you have an interest in the details of pharmaceutical manufacturing and build strong relations with our operations and development.
Occasional travel activity should be expected to suppliers and other Xellia sites.
Other responsibilities will be to:
- identify possible supply risks and assure risk mitigation plans
- ensure that GMP regulations are followed
- identify, initiate, manage and support cost saving and efficiency projects
- monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance
- monitor local market conditions and vendors
- identify new potential suppliers within the scope of responsibility
- provide system and process support
- ensure stakeholder management at all levels
- understand and implement the Category Strategies
- provide input to Category Strategies with information from the territory
Qualifications
We envisage that you:
- have relevant Diploma or master’s degree – probably within business administration, supply chain management or engineering
- may have recently graduated or possess 1-2 years of relevant procurement. Alternatively, you bring experience from an engineering role in a GxP regulated environment with a willingness to switch to a procurement role
- are fluent in a Scandinavian language and English, both spoken and written
- possess a high level of IT literacy
- are comfortable with delivering good results under time pressure
- have a high degree of business acumen and willingness to understand complications in the pharmaceutical industry
- are able to handle a number of concurrent tasks
