Do you have commercial understanding on to how to build businesses based on cloud technologies? Milestone is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Cloud Enablement unit. You will be part of and the primary commercial representative in the leadership team, meaning you will get the chance to directly influence their way going forward.
Job Description
Centered on the Milestone Xprotect suite your focus will be to bridge Milestones customers’ and partners’ needs and wishes and the Milestone development organisation – approx. 60% business and 40% technology. Based on your dialogue with partners and customers you draw up recommendations for both the overall direction and specific features. This you bring to the leadership team where you – in close and constructive dialogue with your colleagues – decide what to prioritize.
Your primary tasks and areas of responsibility:
- Identify needs wishes and opportunities via dialogue with partners and customers
- Set direction and prioritize projects as part of the unit leadership team
- Create value proposition and competitive differentiation in the market
- Be the driver of building a coherent product strategy for cloud
- Explore market and technology opportunities
The leadership team consists of the unit lead, the six Team Leads, a UX Specialist, a Product Owner and yourself.
Milestones cloud focus spans AWS, Azure and Google as they need to be able to follow their customers and partners on their technological journeys.
Required skills and experience
The ideal candidate is expected to have a relevant master’s degree as well as hands-on experience from taking a product from on-prem to cloud, partly or totally. On the personal side you can drive things forward based on your ability to listen to people around you in combination with your ability to back your conclusions and recommendations with logical and data-based arguments.
Furthermore, you have:
- 7+ years’ Product Manager experience from a tech environment
- Broad cloud experience and knowledge of various platforms (not at programmer level)
- A proven track record of managing all aspects of product life cycle
- Experience from working with business modelling – including Cloud and Software-as-a-Service
- Experience in agile methods
- Stakeholder management skills
- Good English and communication/presentation skills, written and spoken
