You will be joining a global CDMO company in rapid growth. Our HQ is located in Seattle, US – but the largest site where you will be located is in Søborg near Copenhagen. We are approximately 2.500 colleague’s worldwide, in Søborg we are around 900. We are a multicultural company with more than 40 different nationalities on site.

The job
The Procurement Professional, Indirect is part of AGC Biologics’ dynamic Supply Chain team in Copenhagen and is a key contributor to Purchasing’s strategic goals. This position is responsible for working with cross-functional partners throughout the company to support and deliver the best value in product selection, performance, quality, service, and pricing. Our new college will report to the Procurement Manager for Indirect.
Principle responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities for the indirect arear, including services, products and CAPEX equipment
- Lead procurement activities for equipment for our new facility in Copenhagen
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements and identify qualified vendors
- Ensure purchase, negotiation, contract drafting and control of materials, equipment etc.
- Achieve optimal total cost of ownership while mitigating supplier risk and project deadlines
- Achieve cost savings goals through bidding and negotiations
- Support purchase orders handling within the indirect arear
Knowledge, skills & abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the company
- Ability to establish successful cross-functional relationships
- General understanding of the indirect category spend arear
- General understanding of process within engineering and equipment/facilities
- General understanding of cGMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Adept at problem solving/multi-tasking in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Advanced oral and written communications skills in English and Danish
Education/Experience
- BSC or MSC degree in related field required (i.e. Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering)
- Min 5 years of Purchasing, and/or Procurement roles.
- Experience supporting indirect procurement projects within a cGMP manufacturing environment; RFP/RFQ, supplier selection, project execution, cost and timing management and project close activities.
- Experience using ERP systems in a cGMP environment (experience with Axapta 3.0 preferred/ Dynamics 365 preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and assistance with identification and implementation of SCM best practices and industry standards.
- Experience working in Life Science industry – highly desirable
- Experience in the creation, negotiation, and administration of contracts
