Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies, and people around the world.</p><p> </p><p><strong>You will join Offshore Structures in Ramboll Energy</strong></p><p>As our new Engineering Manager / Senior Lead Structural Engineer in Esbjerg or Copenhagen, you will be part of a highly specialized service line in Ramboll Energy that counts more than 70 employees primarily located in Denmark and India. Our service line has +40 years of design experience within the offshore field and is world-leading in making a new design of monopiles or jackets for the offshore wind market, reassessment and lifetime extensions of aging platforms, and structural health monitoring including true digital twins of offshore structures in general.</p><p><br>We cover all aspects of a project, which within Greenfield design includes feasibilities and concept studies, front-end engineering design, detailed design, and follow-up engineering. The projects you will be working on are executed from the office and will often involve multiple specialists in different fields.</p><p><br>We work for global customers and thrive to provide cutting-edge solutions to our customers. We are a global team and execute projects worldwide, you must expect some travel activity from time to time; the number of days will typically vary from 5-15 days per year.</p><p> </p><p>Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:<strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Lead up to several project teams of structural engineers and designers</li><li>Develop and deliver up to complete detailed design packages of substructures for offshore wind transformer platforms</li><li>Prepare and execute projects either independently or in close cooperation with an appointed project manager or the project owner</li><li>Act as a technical mentor for the project teams and help them to grow their knowledge within the design of offshore substructure</li><li>Provide expert guidance regarding the design of offshore substructures, hereunder structural layout, soil anchoring method, construction, installation, and decommissioning</li><li>Occasionally assist in preparing design documents, calculations and/or analyses using various structural analysis programs (ROSAP and/or SACS)</li><li>Assist in tender management and as part of this make the quotations including time and cost estimates, write method statement, handle tax and legal matters together with our specialists, participate in clarification sessions, etc.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Your starting point for constant growth</strong></p><p>From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company.</p><p> </p><p><strong>For this role, it is a must that you fulfill the following qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Master degree in Structural and Civil Engineering</li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of experience in leading larger project teams</li><li>Minimum 8-10 years of design experience within the design of offshore substructures (primarily jackets and monopiles), preferable from the offshore wind industry </li><li>Full understanding of what it takes to design, analyse, and document an offshore substructure according to the prevailing codes in the offshore industry, primarily within offshore wind</li><li>Experience with finite element analysis of structural parts in program ANSYS and LS-DYNA</li><li>Substantial experience with one or more of the structural analysis programs, preferable ROSAP and/or SACS and/or SESAM</li><li>Superior communication skills in English and preferable also Danish, both oral and written</li></ul><p> </p><p>It will help you to succeed in this position if you are technically strong and able to lead and motivate your project team across multiple geographical borders. Your design solutions demonstrate your understanding of how every detail fits into the bigger picture, and you take ownership of the project design engineering. You are a confident and transparent communicator and when challenges and complex tasks arise, you use your analytical skills to seek solutions. You have an excellent ability to read and understand our clients’ requirements and deliver consultancy and engineering at the required level for each project phase from early feasibility studies to detailed design.
