Blue Ocean Robotics – a Robot Venture Factory in Odense, Denmark – develop and build mobile service robots within health, hotel, construction and agriculture, for example the disinfection robot UVD Robots and the patient moving robot Multi-Tower. Blue Ocean Robotics supply all our venture companies, who are selling the service robots, with high quality products on-time in a volume that is about to scale.
We are looking for a Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager with experience in the process of being compliant to relevant standards and directives and governing quality of the products design for manufacture. We can offer a job in an expanding company, that combines technological knowhow, modern methodologies and intuitive solutions with practical value creation in an international company with colleagues, partners and customers from a large part of the world.
- The compliance part of the position will be responsible for setting up and operating our process model for compliance in terms of ISO standards, CE certifications, UL/ETL, certifications and conducting audits with governing authorities. - The Quality part of the position will be responsible for setting up and operating quality assurance throughout the design maturing and procurement process likely based on APQP. The Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager will have a strong say on his own role and a strong influence on the impact of the quality management function on the success of the company.

The Compliance and Quality Manager will report to the Vice President of Production with a dotted line reporting to the Vice President of Product Development. He/she will be accountable for the definition, implementation and execution of quality assurance and control for all critical internal and external fabrication, assembly and testing process steps.
The Compliance and Quality Manager will specify the design teams proper definition of compliance and quality requirements and their criticality, and ensure that product documentation is representing the compliance and quality and process capability requirements demanded to ensure a stable and timely execution and compliance with the governing authoritative regulatives.

- Ensured compliance with government regulations, legal and domain specific demands
- Implemented ISO standards for Quality management systems and Audits
- Deep knowledge and experience within CE and UL/ETL certification
- Experience in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Experience in risk assessments
- Reviewed compliance and quality of electrical products and their documentation
Nice to have:
- Experience in working with FDA, Intertek, UL and TUV
- Experience with Medical Devices
- Certification in Six Sigma
- Experience with PPAP, Kaizen, LEAN, 8D , A3 or other quality tools
- Experience with Statistical Process Control

The applicant
- has several years of experience as compliance responsible and quality process responsible in one or more companies designing and producing electrical, mechatronic products or class1 medical devices.
- You are fact- and data oriented and at the same time you have a profound life cycle and value chain understanding and always bring diagrams showing the relationship between non-conformance and costs, and you offer recommendations on how to obtain certification and/or reduce the cost of poor quality perhaps already at a conceptual stage in the product development
- You are the type of person that always or often have a skeptical view to your colleagues excitement about a new idea or concept and you are good at getting attention around and convincing people by facts. You may not talk most, but when you talk, people learn to listen.
