SKOV continues its successful growth strategy which includes increased focus on development of the business area related to production management within the pig sector. As a part of this development, we are looking for a Product Manager to extend our Business Development team from nine to ten people.
As Product Manager you will lead the development of one of SKOV´s most important areas.
Pig production on global scale consolidates into larger and larger production enterprises and the market request for efficient production management systems increases correspondingly. SKOV’s advanced management systems comprises vision-based systems measuring pigs’ weight and behavior, other sensors such as feed and water meters as well as the management software which analyzes and presents the retrieved data on farm and enterprise level.
Your most important tasks will be:
You will work closely with other product managers and pig specialists and have numerous interfaces towards Markets and R&D. Furthermore, you will have a constant customer contact and will at many occasions stand in front of a customer audience selling the superior advantages of your systems.
In order to be a success in your new job we expect that you:
As your focus will be on developing the business within the area, you have a deep insight in global pig production. You understand the dynamics in the value chain from feed mills over production barns to the retailer in an international perspective. Probably your career comprises jobs within larger food production companies – e.g. slaughterhouse or processing industry as well as jobs within the primary production of pigs.
Ideally you have experience in product- and system management and understand the position of the product manager between Markets and R&D. This is, however, not a prerequisite.

- Define vision and long-term roadmap for products and systems
- Ensure specifications meets market demands
- Ensure commercial viability
- Create and execute launch plans
- Sales support
You will work closely with other product managers and pig specialists and have numerous interfaces towards Markets and R&D. Furthermore, you will have a constant customer contact and will at many occasions stand in front of a customer audience selling the superior advantages of your systems.
In order to be a success in your new job we expect that you:
- have a relevant commercial degree (B.Sc. or similar) with strong technical understanding, alternatively a technical degree with a commercial edge.
- are dynamic and outgoing with exceptional communicational and interpersonal skills with the ability to take the lead on your own products and processes to ensure execution and benefit for our customers.
- are an experienced communicator who speaks English effortlessly. You are used to travelling and should expect approx. 40-60 travel days per year.
