Responsibilities and tasks in the job
As IT Operations Manager your main task will be service operation, and to ensure a stable and secure platform for the entire IT landscape of Telmore. The landscape is a combination of UNIX and Windows servers in a traditional on-premises data center, as well as in the Microsoft Azure cloud. You will play an active role in strategies, design and transition, all from larger areas like DevOps and cloud to network and monitoring.
The role also covers important tasks like leading people, managing contracts with external partners, project management and change management etc.
There will be three teams assisting you: One external operation team and two internal working with infrastructure and AMS. The two internal teams will report directly to you. The operation team is outsourced to TCS and managing them is a central part of your work.
About you
You think holistically and can work professionally with:
- Stability & security
- Network & monitoring
- DevOps & Microsoft Azure Cloud
- ITIL
- OLA/SLA/TSA
- Contract management
- It is a plus if you have experience with Ansible and Terraform
You have
- A relevant education (minimum a Bachelor or a Master's degree in computer science or similar)
- Experience in leadership and operational management alongside a history of driving continuous improvement
- A cool overview in stressful situations
- Strong collaborative skills across roles and culture
- Experience with managing large complex projects
- Fluency in English
