Plant Manager

Your new company
The biomass co-generation plant was developed to use clean wood and sawmill residue from a 100 km radius around the plant as fuel. The plant was manned during 2018 and commissioning and trial runs was conducted during 2nd half of 2018. Each year, the plant will produce 153 GWh of green power, which is equivalent to the annual consumption of 105,000 people and 215,000 tonnes of steam that was previously produced from fossil fuels. In total, CO 2 emissions will be reduced by 77,000 t / year.

Your new role
Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the power plant operates in the safest and most cost-effective manner, maximising profit while taking into account the lifetime of the plant and the operation period. Likewise, you are responsible for optimising the production and planning in order for the facility to be operated in an economical, safe, and reliable way, meeting load demands and contractual obligations concerning availability.

The guaranteed operational time per year is. 8.200 and this is assumed to be fulfilled.

You will be reporting to the Danish headquarter and therefore you should expect to have 5-10 days of travel activity pr. year.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this position, one must possess the ability to act as an experienced staff manager, where you rely on your natural impact, flexibility, and cooperative skills when establishing a brand new organisation. Furthermore, one is required to be self-motivated and enjoy handling a variety of tasks in an ever-changing setting, always looking to ensure long-term success. One also need to have a commercial mindset as the Plant Manager needs to interact with clients as well as suppliers.

The preferred candidate comes with an engineering background and have more than 10 years of experience within management and in charge of a power plant. The candidate must have experience with finance and accounting as well as reporting on management level.

The Candidate also need to be fluent in French and English.
