Are you our new technician in our Biopharm Process Development team and passionate about cell culture and upstream process development?

The job – roles and responsibilities
The department you will join is responsible for all drug substance (DS) bioprocess activities throughout the full development value chain for monoclonal antibodies, including cell line selection and development, process development and productions.
Your daily work will be together with highly skilled and experienced technicians and scientists where you will participate in development process activities for new products. You will be a part of the upstream team.

Qualifications:
We are looking for an independent and skilled technician with at least 3 years’ experience in upstream biologics processing.
You are curious by nature and like to try new things, methods, processes etc. You combine strong bench skills with a good sense for documentation to ensure the right quality in your deliverables. As you will work together with multiple people across the LEO organization, good collaboration skills are of great importance.
As a person, you like to share your knowledge actively and participate in an open dialogue. You are capable to work with several tasks in parallel in an organized way and enjoy a work environment where we, initially, draw the map as we go.
Your new team
The Biopharmaceutical CMC Development is a function consisting of 32 skilled employees spanning PhD level senior scientists and technicians working in our labs. We have established state of the art internal laboratories and capabilities and the work in the Biopharm Process Development department is constituted by a mix of work performed at CDMO´s and internal process development activities.
The team has a data driven R&D culture with high level dedication and focus on efficient and high-quality deliveries. The environment is informal and open minded like in the rest of the organization.
We are located in our headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark

The job – roles and responsibilities

Your daily work will be together with highly skilled and experienced technicians and scientists where you will participate in development process activities for new products. You will be a part of the upstream team.
Your overall focus will be:
- Perform and document laboratory-scale cell culture experiments from thaw to harvest clarification for bioreactors, bags, and shake flasks.
- Upstream protein production in our lab-scale equipment by stable and transient expression in mammalian cells for further processing.
- Maintain and further develop our lab facilities– together with up- and downstream colleagues – including collaboration/coordination with internal and external facility and equipment services.
- Ensure day-to-day upstream laboratory operations including maintenance/procurement of equipment, raw materials and consumables as needed.
- Writing and reviewing documentation such as documentation of lab work and standard operating procedures/work instructions for upstream equipment and laboratory.
- Train colleagues in your area of expertise as the team expands in the future.
Qualifications:
We are looking for an independent and skilled technician with at least 3 years’ experience in upstream biologics processing.
- Education: Laboratory Technician or similar
- Hands-on experience within cultivation of mammalian cells in bioreactors, bags, and shake flasks
- Hands on experience with in-process analyses, media preparation and harvesting
- Have an interest for new technologies such as automation and high-throughput process development
- Knowledge of harvest clarification and downstream processing is considered an advantage
