We are looking for a head of our Process Automation department across our Danish offices (Virum and Kalundborg), and with dotted-line responsibility of our engineering team in Bengaluru, India. We have a high-performance, international team of more than 200 committed process automation engineers across our offices in Denmark and India for you to lead and guide on the journey of building the world’s largest pharmaceutical facilities.
In your team we design the process automation solutions from the very first conceptual steps to the final production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API). In this position you’ll bring your solid knowledge within leadership into play, every day. And you take pride in leading and developing the team while keeping focus on resolving potential problems ahead of the curve to the benefit of all stakeholders.
In NNE IT/Automation, we transform advanced technologies and trends within the industry into innovative solutions on our projects. Our focus areas are continuous, flexible, and automated processes, manufacturing intelligence and not least solutions that will reduces the carbon footprint by 50%. You’ll have a key role in making sure we guide our customers into this era of technology-focused, efficient, and sustainable solutions together with our IT/Automation management team.

How you might spend your days
As a Director for Process Automation, you’ll be working with an innovative, multi-disciplinary and international team where you’ll:
- Guide and set direction for the Process Automation area in close collaboration with a motivated management team consisting of 3 Line managers and a management support function in DK.
- Collaborate closely with our office in India where an increasing amount of the engineering is conducted
- Be overall responsible of more than 200 highly skilled and enthusiastic process automation engineers located in Denmark and in India
- Be the Process Automation stakeholder in VP area leadership team consisting of a Vice President and 5 fellow directors
- Translate overall NNE strategy into goals for Process Automation and deliver performance
- Coach a core team of highly engaged and skilled key technical specialists and lead engineers reporting directly to you
- Lead and ensure competence development within Process Automation
- Work with Project Managers to assure alignment of resources and competences on projects

The miles you’ve walked
In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:
- You have a M.Sc. in Engineering or similar within chemistry, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical production
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in people management e.g., as team leader or department manager
- Experience from the GMP regulated industry would be considered a plus
- Proficiency in spoken and written Danish and English.
