The Compliance department in Corporate Affairs plays a vital role in Maersk’s continued dedication to compliant operations on all levels, within all areas, with all laws and regulations in all of the countries in which we operate.

Key Responsibilities

As a Platform Product Owner your main responsibilities will be:

• Define vision and roadmap that directly improve our screening abilities across all Maersk Brands to provide best in class screening of master data and daily shipment information.
• Building bridges between the compliance team, stakeholders and Tech scrum teams to ensure innovative, scalable screening solutions at the forefront of technology with the ability to support both Maersk and customers in their efforts to continue compliant market activities.
• Ensure that our product backlog is in line with our strategic priorities
• Engage with process leads and the wider platform community to ensure we align solutions across processes and platforms
• Act as an active part of the wider Compliance team where we want to continuously strengthen our shared capabilities and ability to deliver great outcomes.
• Understand the problem space by connecting with content providers, end-users and stakeholders
• Ensure that vision and roadmap leads to realization of product functionality requirements.
• Define and drive development in the product area from the capacity of product owner in a scrum team
• Simplify complex problem solving in iterations.
• Build and enhance complex products
• Take ownership of complex and critical products
• Communicate data requirement easily across functions and brands
• Demonstrate skills in seeing the data and process journey from an end-to-end perspective.
• High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability

We are looking for someone with;

• Master’s Degree and preferable 3+ years of experience as an end-user or as a product manager/owner
• Professional Scrum Product Owner Certification
• The ability to understand technical terminology and hands-on experience with Agile methodology, but as the position is anchored in the in the Compliance Team, it does not include any hands-on technical development.
• Experience from shipping, sanctions controls & processes and methodology will be an advantage when reviewing business requirements and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Data-driven and customer/stakeholder outcome-oriented approach to problem solving
• Eagerness to engage in a high performing team who wants to succeed while having fun together
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Well organized and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent English both spoken and in writing.
