We are looking for a Product Manager who will be responsible for supervising and executing the daily maintenance and operation of the Heating & Water portfolio and continuing our work to expand Solar's position in the Danish market as the active partner for customers and suppliers.

You will be part of Category Management within the Heating & Water category. Category Management is globally organized and you will therefore have colleagues in Denmark and other Solar countries. You will report to the Group Senior Category Manager for Heating & Water, which is physically located in the Netherlands. Preferably, you will be based in our head office in Vejen, but it is also an option to be located in either Aarhus, Holstebro or Brøndby.
Your tasks and responsibilities
As Product Manager you will be responsible for the product range Heating & Water, which contains a.o. heating generation, radiators, underfloor heating, pipes & fittings, pumps and installation material out to all our customer verticals, and you will thus be co-responsible for ensuring that the area develops profitably.
You will bridge the sales organization and the market organization within Solar, and together with your colleagues in the area, you will be responsible for initiating and participating in strategic initiatives. This may include the execution of new product introductions and business development projects. Important task is to optimize your product portfolio to have a great impact on the energy transition.
Your assortment contributes to Solar’s strategic pillars like Climate & Energy. Your day-to-day tasks will also include pricing and backup to sales colleagues, campaign development, handling product data, creating and maintaining the product range, etc.
In close cooperation with your colleagues, you will help the sales organization to set the right market price so that we always appear competitive. Through planning you create coherence between the product range and our ambitious goals. You will work closely with Category Management, Market Management and the sales organization.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that your product range is presented in an inviting and presentable manner in our web shop.
Your qualifications
To be successful in the job, you must be able to work with a wide range of activities. In other words, you must be a generalist in your field. In addition, you must be a team player who is open to new things. It is important that you are good at working in Excel, and it is a prerequisite that you can communicate and feel comfortable in both written and spoken English.
It is an advantage if you have commercial product knowledge of HWS/HVAC. It is also an advantage if you have experience of working within product/category management and/or have sourcing experience.
We envisage that you have previously held a similar role in another larger company, or alternatively you may have been employed at a supplier. You may also have previously worked as a plumber or installer and has combined this with a relevant commercial education. Either way, we want to hear from you if you believe you're right for the job.
