ServiceNow Engineering and Automation (SEA) in Maersk is team of nearly 40 people focuses on delivering automation and innovation through ServiceNow and RPA technologies. SEA is undergoing a transformation from a siloed operating model to a cross functional agile approach, and we are expanding our team in key areas.

Inside SEA we have a ServiceNow Innovation team of 3 highly skilled ServiceNow Product Owners focusing on evolving the ServiceNow Platform and working with the business of Maersk to deliver the vision we have for the platform through our Ideation Practice. Everything from liaising with stakeholders, driving product roadmap workshops, keeping up with the ServiceNow products and designing new solutions require a huge effort and shift in responsibilities for the Product Owners in the ServiceNow Innovation team. We need a person who can actively take part in the Product Owner role as well as leading the Ideation Practice in ServiceNow.

Key responsibilities


Your collaboration with our business stakeholders and internal SEA colleagues will be an important factor for success in this role. Communication is key, and you will face a high variety of dialog settings. Everything from long term conversations to build up relationships to 1 hour timeboxed sessions with a stakeholder you never met that needs to result in a business outcome.
Being outgoing and having an extroverted mindset is required.

You will be the key anchoring point for the Innovation Team in terms sparing with colleagues, driving results, and owning decisions across Product Owners and Ideation Practice. You will be a key contributor on delivering new solutions and improving existing solutions within the ServiceNow platform in Maersk. You will work closely with our stakeholders while still having the ability to deliver designs and recommendations to enable them to make decisions and execute them. You need to gain insights from many areas and work with stakeholders from many levels of the organisation. Work on their journey maps, and in general inspire them to deliver the needed features, efficiency gains and automation that their areas require.

Your main tasks will be the following:

  • Daily manager and escalation point for ServiceNow Product Owners.
  • Take on value discussions and inspire further usage of the ServiceNow platform across Maersk business functions.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders with different agendas.
  • Leading the ServiceNow Ideation Practice.
  • Responsible for implementing and delivering on the ServiceNow vision and strategy and roadmap.
  • Manage and steer roadmap alignment between ServiceNow products.
  • Design, Prototype and help deliver technical challenges across multiple complex deliveries at a time.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you can offer:


Extensive technical experience within ServiceNow as a platform. High level of people skills and vast experience with facilitation of workshops, presentations to leaders and strategic advisory.

  • Fluent in English is required.
  • Strong communication skills (active listener, think before acting, superb verbal and writing skills).
  • High on people skills.
  • ServiceNow Systems Administrator certification required.
    ITIL V3 foundation certification required.
  • Some form of Agile training is required (Scrum, DevOps, Prince2 Agile, SAFe etc).
  • Platform Implementation Specialist certification required.
  • Proven and demonstrated consulting experience (problem solver with attention to detail, Resourcefulness, not shy away to ask tough questions in a positive manner and understanding of business drivers behind the technology).
  • Demonstrated ability to work and use SCRUM and PRINCE2 as a delivery methodology.
  • Strong JavaScript, AngularJS and Bootstrap skills and understanding.
  • Experience with Web Technologies like XML, HTML and Web Services.
  • Comfortable with planning and driving workshops.
