The position is new and a key position within Group Procurement. You will be responsible for indirect cost optimization within group procurement and for developing a strategy to cost-optimize, maximize quality, and create long-term business value with relevant stakeholders. You will report directly to the Group Procurement Manager and you will be a part of a department with dedicated, highly skilled, and experienced employees.

Develop the strategy for indirect costs
You will be responsible for the indirect cost strategy and through data analysis, define relevant KPI’s for the business area. In addition, you will be responsible for contract negotiations and relevant tender handling. Project optimization and project management will also be part of your responsibility as well as cost control and risk assessment.

Your primary tasks are:

  • Operate contracts and operate supplier KPI’s
  • Perform country- and group-specific procurement projects for Scandi Standard
  • Update market information and strategy for the specific area
  • Tender management
  • Drive continuous optimization initiatives and embrace best practices
  • Relationship with supplier contacts and negotiations
  • Supplier data analysis and documentation
  • Organize relevant documentation, contracts, etc. in the relevant IT-systems
  • Miscellaneous statements/statistics
  • Management of stakeholder relations
  • Monitor and follow-up on various deadlines and projects

To be successful in this role, you should be able to perform substantial cost savings by optimizing processes and implementing best practices over the next two years. Furthermore, you will make an important impact on supplier contract terms while in parallel building strong relationships with suppliers and relevant internal and external stakeholders. It is important you can establish a solid decision foundation based on data analysis to select relevant optimization projects and be able to implement projects quickly and efficiently with documented processes.

Your background and experience
You have an academic background like a tertiary education, such as cand.merc. or similar. However, experience and skills are more important than education. You have a minimum of three years’ experience with procurement and indirect procurement, preferably from a larger international company. You have experience with procurement processes, negotiation, contracts, and development and implementation of sourcing strategies. You are MS Excel super user and have strong data analysis capabilities and great IT skills.

You are analytic and very comfortable making data-driven procurement decisions as well as being a strong communicator. It is natural for you to have a high level of ambition and a natural strive for excellence and you can make things happen. You can challenge both suppliers and internal stakeholders towards making an impact. You work in a structured manner, and you understand the importance of dividing tasks into subtasks. You are detail oriented without losing track of the big picture and make your decisions on a documented basis with the ability to see things from a pragmatic perspective.
