Are you excited about purchasing and category management? Do you see yourself contributing to the success of Silvan by bringing in your skills and knowledge, working together with your colleagues in the procurement team? Then the Category Manager position may be the perfect fit for you.
We´re looking for a Category Manager at the Silvan Headquarters. In collaboration with the Head of Category Management and your colleagues in the department, you will be the driving force for the development of your own categories. You will be responsible for the performance of your categories and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement in collaboration with external and internal stakeholders. You will also be involved in strategic projects where you can align your ideas and work results with project steering committees.

It is important you are curious and inquisitive to gain a deep knowledge of assigned categories and projects. In addition, we expect you to have a holistic approach to your categories and concepts, where you see them in a larger perspective and avoid sub-optimization and silo thinking.

We´re looking for a Category Manager at the Silvan Headquarters. Main responsibilities
- Ensure an optimal assortment and a supplier portfolio that meets customers' needs.
- Develop strategies and concepts that match customer behaviours and preferences.
- Structure and maintain content on Silvan.dk with relevance for your categories.
- Execute holistic sales concepts.
- Negotiate conditions and prices with suppliers.
- Monitor competitors' initiatives and pricing.
- Optimize the presentation of categories and concepts in collaboration with the Instore Development department.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor or Master university degree.
- Experience with purchasing and category management.
- Experience from either the retail or supplier side.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Super user in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good financial understanding.
- English written and verbal at business level.
