The Team
As a Strategic Category Manager, you will be part of the Strategic Procurement team which currently consists of 4 buyers incl. department manager. This team is part of Supply Chain which consist of Procurement, Facility Management, Logistics and Warehouse, a total of app. 30 employees.
In the Strategic Procurement team, we play a central role in supporting Aasted's Development, Sale, Production and Delivery of complex process plants for the food-tech industry.
The Job
You will be responsible for end-to-end Sourcing, Category management, Supplier management and Sustainable Procurement. Further, you will be assigned to specific categories with the responsibility to ensure quality, compliance, delivery time, cost, sustainability and risks are met.

The Job
You will be responsible for end-to-end Sourcing, Category management, Supplier management and Sustainable Procurement. Further, you will be assigned to specific categories with the responsibility to ensure quality, compliance, delivery time, cost, sustainability and risks are met.
Primary tasks:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies primarily for Tier 3 & 4 categories in accordance with overall Procurement Strategy.
- Pursuing our ambitious targets to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership and/or create value by utilizing a ‘change’ mind-set.
- Create and present business cases to stakeholders incl. risk analysis.
- Closely follow up on market trends in particular the development of raw material prices.
- Perform Supplier management activities, including but not limited to handling supplier performance, development of cooperation, Sustainability, Cost-out, monitoring & claims.
- Actively participate in cross functional meetings taking ownership for procurement activities.
- Close collaboration with Procurement execution team, Sales and Engineering
- Participate actively in the development of Procurement Excellence forms/procedures.
- Perform Supplier audits, Supplier evaluations and approve suppliers.
Qualifications
We are looking for a professional candidate with the following qualifications:
- Strong business acumen
- Stakeholder Management experience
- Self-starting and solution oriented
- An academic background in either Procurement/Commercial Commerce, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent relevance.
- 5+ years of experience with direct procurement.
- Fluent in Danish and English both in writing and spoken.
- Experienced IT user; including Microsoft Office and ERP systems (at AASTED we use Microsoft Dynamics Axapta).
