ROCKWOOL Nordics is currently seeking a Product Manager for building insulation and facades (GBI & Facades). Your role is to lead product management within GBI & Facades in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
As a product manager you are responsible for all the products within your segment (i.e. the GBI & Facades segment). This responsibility includes technical aspects, such as ensuring updated documentation and specifications are valid, as well as commercial aspects including prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product strategy, and working closely with production, sales and marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The product manager also ensures the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
As a product manager in Rockwool Nordics your responsibility is to ensure we have the best match between market needs and our offerings. You will work closely with Group Development in developing and adapting solutions to the Nordic markets. You will be part of the Product Management and Insights team (8 people) and part of Rockwool Nordics Marketing (25 people). The position is based at the ROCKWOOL Nordics HQ in Hedehusene.
• Drive yearly planning cycle from market intelligence to implementation: Identify P&L/operational performance trends. Develop product concepts and business cases within PM area. Lay out clear product strategies.
• Translate customer needs into winning value propositions. Get clear understanding of local markets and competition. Gain deep & close customer insights. Translate customer needs into winning customer value propositions. Define product development specifications. Guide product development projects.
• Project manager for strategic product-related projects. Ensure proper technical documentation and specifications (incl. monitoring necessary tests and managing certifications). Optimize product portfolio to ensure up-to-date products, introduction of new products, and phasing-out of old products.
• Communicate broadly: Ensure correct technical information broadly and keep the organization updated on new products and obsolete products. Assist marketing managers in product launches. Train and challenge sales forces.
• Day-to-day support to sales forces: Manage product requests from sales and customers. Assist in extraordinary sales projects when expert knowledge within PM area is required.
• Knowledge management: Keep product information and documentation up-to-date and improve continuously. Share knowledge and know-how with colleagues.
In this role, you will achieve success by practicing strong product management competencies including a well-structured overview of complexity in our products and the market.
To do that, you are expected to be well experienced in product management. You have at least 5 years of experience in product management – ideally related to the building industry. You have a technical background in engineering, building construction or similar. You can think strategically AND work operationally. You are an excellent communicator.
You also possess solid project and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to work across borders and levels in a large organisation and gain support and engagement around your processes until they reach completion.
You will ideally have experience working internationally across a range of markets (preferably in the Nordics region). It is essential that you are fluent (written and spoken) in English and at least one other Scandinavian language. You will also be open and flexible for occasional travel within the Nordics for collaboration with local colleagues.
