Do you see yourself identifying and driving category management projects? Then you might be our new Category Manager for our Global Raw Materials Procurement Department.As our new Category Manager you will drive category planning, - management and sourcing strategies. You will be responsible for supplier segmentation and global supply base within your own categories, and you will identify and implement new raw material sources in cooperation with key stakeholders.Your responsibilities will amongst other be:Driving and negotiating strategic and partnership agreements within own categories Developing a network of key category stakeholders for effective implementation of sourcing initiatives supporting business plans and R&D development Developing suppliers towards supporting our targets for sustainable procurement Developing detailed knowledge about key raw material markets, conducting demand, market, and supplier analyses Handling supply chain risks - identifying and minimizing risks resulting from supply interruptions and price fluctuations Negotiating prices terms and conditions to achieve given targets Owning the relationship with key suppliers and developing them into strategic suppliers or partners. In addition, you are motivated by green transition and sustainability.What you’ll bringThe ideal candidate has a solid experience with global sourcing of chemicals and commodities as well as experience in commercial negotiations. Experience with category management in a similar sector is also an advantage.Besides this, you:Are process oriented and capable of working independently, yet you value working in a team Are fluent in English and have good communication skills both in writing and verbally Hold a Master’s degree (e.g. Cand. Merc. or Chemical Engineering) or Bachelor’s degree (e.g. HD in Logistics / Supply Chain Management), or similar theoretical level or experience Have experience from an international Procurement organization and can document results from similar positions Have excellent commercial/financial understanding as well as technical understanding of chemicals Have in-depth knowledge of procurement and global sourcing Have solid knowledge of supplier markets for commodities and chemicals.
