Power Solutions Aerodynamic & Mechanical Blades Quality
VPS Blade Quality – A new department set up to secure and drive blade quality. The department works within design engineering, utilizing quality tools and expertise to enable appropriate design choices to secure design right first time.

Power Solutions Aerodynamic & Mechanical Blades Quality
VPS Blade Quality – A new department set up to secure and drive blade quality. The department works within design engineering, utilizing quality tools and expertise to enable appropriate design choices to secure design right first time.
Responsibilities
- Participate within NPI, Technology projects to drive a quality culture and design right first time
- Participate in CIM and COPQ continuous improvement projects to ensure solutions are capable and robust
- Deploy and utilise quality tools within the module
- Run high priority RCA/ 8D
- Work with and challenge engineers to ensure all aspect of the design element is considered, interlinked and residual risk is mitigated, and appropriate controls are established to secure quality output
Qualifications
- Engineering degree, ideally mechanical, composite or quality
- Minimum Professional experience: 2-3 years
- Six Sigma (Black Belt)
- Wind turbine blade experience would be an advantage but not essential
