We need an ambitious and energetic Compliance & Quality Manager, who can ensure the right quality and compliance with laws and regulations of our ballast water management systems. You will be a member of our management team.

In short, your fields of responsibility are:
- Ensure compliance with IMO and statutory requirements to Ballast Water Management Systems, as well as Class Society rules for marine equipment.
- Initiate development and/or modifications of our specifications and drawings where needed.
- Survey our BWMS sub-suppliers and make sure they follow our requirements and best practices.
- Make sure our finished products are aligned with our own specifications and drawings.
- Ensure the required marking of our products and registration of certificates is in accordance with applicable requirements, and that the required traceability is available.
- Ensuring that documentation and traceability is supplied by all suppliers before shipment of goods.
- Ensure a very close collaboration with our BWMS subcontractors.
- Support the CEO as needed with general management of DESMI Ocean Guard.
You should expect a travel activity up to 25 days/year, in connection with, subcontractor visits, IMO meetings, courses etc.
Profile and abilities:
The most important criterion is the fact that you are passionate about working with compliance and quality assurance.
- Technical background such as engineer, marine engineer, mechanical engineer or alike and it´s an advantage if you have working experience from the maritime industry.
- Great overview, but you can also switch to the attention to detail.
- You are able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
- You will have interface internally and externally and it is essential that you are a good communicator.
- You have a practical approach to all tasks.
- Responsibility, positive energy and development potential are weighed very high.
- You have the ability to gain knowledge and master new technology on your own
