The role
You will in this PO role be working as a part of the D-Team.
With a focus on product management and product ownership, the role has the purpose to strengthen Umbraco engagement in product development, communication, and collaboration with Umbraco users.
This enables increased focus on customer value, solution design, agile product planning, and a valuable product-engaged conversation with our products and services users as we continue to make Umbraco friendly, simpler and social.
Umbraco is taking steps via partnerships, acquisitions, and software development efforts to expand its offering as a composable DXP (Digital Experience Platform) and this role will be a key driver of that, owning the roadmap for the initiative.

The role

Umbraco is taking steps via partnerships, acquisitions, and software development efforts to expand its offering as a composable DXP (Digital Experience Platform) and this role will be a key driver of that, owning the roadmap for the initiative.
The primary focus will be on:
- Continuous improvement of our commercial products that extend the open-source CMS: Umbraco Forms, Umbraco Deploy, and the recently acquired workflow add-on
- Initiatives supporting Umbraco as a composable DXP and the Umbraco add-on ecosystem
- Identifying, defining, prioritizing, and developing integrations with third-party services to extend the reach of Umbraco
Your primary responsibilities in this role will be to:
- Strengthen and evolve product vision in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Gather product feedback from customers, partners, and users
- Organize internal product roadmap alignment and communication
- Maintain public roadmap and public product communication
- Analyze and discover improvements to the customer journey through services and products
- Connect and evolve product presentation (communication, documentation, demonstration, etc.)
- Guide high-level product development, mock-ups, solution design, etc. to discover solutions to new challenges/opportunity
- Represent the customer internally at Umbraco HQ as part of the development to guide and answer questions on solution design and scope.
- Define new feature requirements including details on the audience, scope and design.
- Work on agile process improvements in collaboration with other agile leading roles
- Participate in agile processes such as planning, stand-up, demos etc.
- Represent Umbraco products externally at events, meetups and online webinars

Your professional qualifications
- You have a proven track record as a successful PO
- You are used to working with agile product development
- You know how to write good user stories, product requirements, analysis, etc.
- You understand the connection and difference between software development and product development
- You are used to build up an immense knowledge about your products and be able to represent as an expert externally and internally
- You know how to put requirements and feedback in a bigger context to guide the product journeys in a steady direction
- You are very communicative. You understand how to listen to users and developer needs as well as communicate scope and goals to a broad audience.
- You understand how to bridge opinions and are able to bring people together for a joined purpose and direction
- You are able to examine, comprehend and acknowledge the facts that are pointed out and come up with the best options to move forward
- You are fluent in written and spoken English
Plus points for
- Having PO experience from a SaaS company
- Similarly previous experience of the CMS or DXP space and/or working with partners and third-party services will be of benefit
