Are you looking for a new opportunity to take your category management skills to the next level? We are currently seeking an experienced category manager to build the category strategies Indirect and Go Green, and drive value creation in close collaboration with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.
As our new Category Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing of Indirect categories to our administration, sales subsidiaries, production sites (IT, HR, Facility, Finance, Energy, Marketing, Maintenance), and our 3rd party products and partly surfacing. Further, you will become responsible for developing of sourcing sustainable materials for our Go Green area in close cooperation with the Group Sourcing Team, Product Innovation, and our Go Green Director. The role is a part of a generational change and will be a seamless handover to futureproofing these two crucial areas in Kompan.
Your primary responsibilities include:
You hold a degree in Cand.merc or Similar and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience from an international production company and from similar categories.
Preferably you currently work as a Category Manager or similar and have extensive knowledge and experience with sourcing sustainable materials.
Your strategic end-to-end perspective contributes to developing the Group Sourcing department to the best in class - following Kompan Strategy 2026 - and you act as an important sparring partner to Group Sourcing Director.
You are a negotiator and thrive with both strategic and hands-on tasks. Technical insight into plastics and/or steel is an advantage.

You will become a part of the Sourcing Management Team and join a professional and result-oriented team of 19 colleagues globally. We have a professional but humorous tone of voice with a strong focus on teamwork. In this role, you will report to our Group Sourcing Director.
You should expect 20 travel days/year.

Become responsible for Indirect and Go Green (sustainable materials)
As our new Category Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing of Indirect categories to our administration, sales subsidiaries, production sites (IT, HR, Facility, Finance, Energy, Marketing, Maintenance), and our 3rd party products and partly surfacing. - Developing the sourcing strategy for Indirect. This includes expanding, analyzing, and prioritizing the spend coverage and together with main stakeholders negotiate with key suppliers to realize savings and value add.
- Setting the governance structure of indirect sourcing.
- Ensuring that Kompan stays on forefront of sustainability / Go Green within the industry and ensure smooth cooperation with internal stakeholders.
Strategic Category Manager with a sustainable perspective
You hold a degree in Cand.merc or Similar and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience from an international production company and from similar categories.

- Project- and change management skills/experience.
