Kamstrup is one of the world's leading producers of solutions for smart metering of energy and water/heat consumption with production, administration and development located in the headquarters in Stilling, south of Aarhus. Kamstrup’s water business is in a rapid development, which means that the requirements and the demand for our smart solutions for the water industry are increasing which is why we are looking for a Product Specialist for our Technical Product Management team in our Water division.
With direct reference to the Team Lead of Technical Product Management, you will become part of a team of 10 experienced and competent product specialists who, with an informal tone, solve varying tasks that primarily relate to product training, support, participation in development projects and portfolio care in cooperation with product managers.
Product Specialist with focus on customer-oriented meter solutions
In this newly created position as Product Specialist in Technical Product Management, you will be technical responsible for a number of products in the water meter portfolio. You are a product expert and the go-to person in connection with all possible questions from customers, salespeople, developers and other stakeholders relating to the product. In addition to knowing the products in detail, it is also important to know of the overall solutions and the value that they create for our customers. As you participate in the development from idea to implementation, you have the best knowledge of any new functions and it will thus be part of your job to train salespeople, supporters and partners. Thus, you also play an important role in ensuring the understanding of and insight into the value creation of new functions and products.
More specifically, your tasks will be:
We focus on both hardware and software to ensure that the entire solution has been thought through before initiating the development phase. Therefore, there will be a strong and efficient cooperation on a daily basis with our product managers who have the commercial responsibility in, among other things, development projects and in relation to Product Lifecycle Management. Furthermore, you will work closely together with our developers who work to create value-based solutions for which you will represent the value to the customer and convert this into the technical solutions.
We do not expect you to be an expert in Kamstrup’s products beforehand which is why you will attend a thorough introduction and training.
You will expectedly have around 10-15 travelling days a year.
Personality matters
We are looking for a person who with great drive and technical understanding can contribute to the further success of Kamstrup. You have a technical background as an engineer, a marine engineer, Global Business Engineer or similar. It is not crucial if you have just finished your education or only have a few years of experience. It is foremost important that you are committed and have the drive to acquaint yourself with complex technical products and are able to communicate complex technical solutions in a simple way. However, it is beneficial if you have experience from a production company and knowledge of the water industry.
As a person, you are forthcoming and find it easy to work effectively with customers and colleagues on all organisational levels. You are ambitious about your area of responsibility and your results and you have a well-developed sense of quality, which all enable you to meet deadlines. In addition, you are impactful and can at any time challenge the way that things are done if you see a better way. Furthermore, it is important that you are proactive, lead the way and take care of problems that may occur in a busy workday.
The job requires fluency in written and spoken Danish and English.
