Become a part of our Technical Product Management team
Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart metering solutions with headquarters in Stilling south of Aarhus. Our ambition is to turn meter data into insight to help utility companies optimize their production and distribution of energy and water, and Kamstrup was 2022 awarded the innovation prize by Dansk Industri (DI). Kamstrup’s business is undergoing rapid development, which means that the requirements for our smart metering solutions targeting the electricity industry are growing. Therefore, we are looking for a Product Owner to be part of the Technical Product Management team in the Electricity division.

With direct reference to our Head of Technical Product & Solution Management, you will become part of a team of 9 highly skilled technical colleagues who work every day to develop and bring smart metering solutions to our markets. The team consists of many backgrounds ranging from highly technical profiles to profiles with a commercial and strategic focus and background. This diversity in backgrounds helps us achieve a high level of quality and development in our work, which is something we value highly in our department.

A role with a focus on software development and system solutions
As a Product Owner, you will serve as the connection between our Product Management team and one of our OMNIA Software Development teams. Your role is to ensure effective implementation of the features defined on the product roadmap and to do daily prioritization of improvements, support cases, and bugfixes. You will be an ambassador for your part of the software solution towards the rest of the organization and our customers.

More specifically, your responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinating our roadmap in collaboration with Product Portfolio Management
  • Establishing solid requirements based on customer insights to set clear targets and priorities for our Software Development Team
  • Always ensuring high product quality through your daily close cooperation with the Software Development Team
  • Handling and prioritizing support cases in collaboration with Customer Support and Software Architects
  • Being a key contributor to Agile software development through your product management insights


In this position, you can expect up to 10 travel days a year.

Personality matters
There are many different entry points to this position. You could be an experienced Product Manager with a technical background and experience in the collaboration between software and product management. This experience would ideally stem from your work in a technical- or utility company which has given you a broad understanding of different products and customer needs. You could also be a recent graduate with ambitions to work in the intersection between software development and business. Experience with metering solutions is considered an advantage but not a requirement.

Regardless of your background, you have a distinct commercial understanding which you can combine with your knowledge of technology and digitization to create high-quality commercial solutions. You have a crucial understanding of how advanced solutions are created and implemented as well as an understanding of how data is used and processed to create valuable information for our customers.

It is a requirement that you master both Danish and English on a high level – both written and spoken.
