About the department
In Digital Health we strive to develop and plan for commercialisation of digital health solutions or software as a medical device solutions to ensure that patients maximise the therapeutic benefits from Novo Nordisk products. The Digital Health department is part of the business unit Commercial Business Development.
The position
This Product Owner (PO) Digital Health companion app role has primary responsibility for the product vision and guidance of development and management of the companion app to connected smart pens that will support patients using NN insulins with smart pens, and their HCPs.
The PO is the voice of the customer/end users’ day-to-day, and decides on product scope. You will be defining the product vision and managing the product backlog by prioritising ideas for added and/or changed functionality for the next iteration or program increment. You will clearly communicate priorities and product backlog items to the team and decide whether/when new versions are released to customers/end users.
A close collaboration with business stakeholders external to the team is an integral part of the job as well as ensuring stakeholder alignment across all affected areas end-to-end across the whole NN organisation. Furthermore, you would as a PO ensure regulatory and legal compliance for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions.
In addition, this role also manages strategic project initiatives within the Digital Health portfolio, e.g. related to the scope of smart pen commercialisation.
The role has a global reach and travel is expected (25-35 days per year).
Qualifications
You have a Master’s degree or above in a relevant area as well as formal project management training and a proven track record of successfully driving projects from early ideas to realised benefits and your projects are executed within a global framework and a diverse and complex stakeholder landscape. The ideal candidate has at least eight years of relevant work experience including experience with projects in a commercial function and should have therapy area knowledge for diabetes. Accreditation as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is an advantage.
You are recognised as an experienced project manager who leads high performing and engaged project teams and your personal qualities define you as a person being comfortable to explore new territory and a great collaborator that always has a positive attitude. You never lose focus, despite changing demands or tight deadlines.
You have strong communication skills including the ability to communicate complex subjects in an easy and understandable way and have excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
