Category Manager

Do you want to be responsible for developing our Sourcing of indirect spend, such as equipment and production consumables to new heights? Do you want to make a difference for patients undergoing surgery by securing the compliance of the medical devices used by healthcare professionals?

At Ferrosan, we are looking for an engaged and motivated Category Manager to drive our production equipment and production consumables categories forward and oversee our suppliers in a way that secures the usual high-quality standards for our products.

Your role - Securing ideal Sourcing.

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing the category strategy and supplier base. Based on your experience you will primarily be responsible for selected categories within Indirect Spend.

Tasks:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the Category strategy, including e.g., assortment, cost and market situation.
  • Analysis of market trends, supplier behavior and competitor activity to ensure optimal positioning of the category.
  • Development and follow-up of suppliers and partners, including supplier negotiations and contract conditions.
  • Responsible for the budget and financial results of the category.
  • Active participation in interdisciplinary teams, including development, quality and operations.

You have collaboration skills and supplier knowledge.

As you will be working with an array of different functions within Ferrosan Medical Devices and external partners, it is important that you have excellent teamworking skills.

You must be able to work in a structured and analytical manner and you will also be assigned tasks that require you to work on your own and without detailed instruction – which is why your ability to take initiative is a key trait in your professional toolbox.

Being responsible for many aspects regarding our suppliers and partners, you are able to present complex results to stakeholders with different levels of understanding.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Relevant education at bachelor's level or higher.
  • Good business understanding and knowledge of financial management.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to see connections and solutions.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
  • Preferable experience with negotiations and contracts.
  • Preferable experience from category or product management.
  • Preferable GMP knowledge/experience.

And we manage the business with an uncompromising focus on quality based on current GMP requirements.
