Do you have a keen interest in driving positive changes in a commercial direction, and are you motivated by putting your own stamp on the role as product manager? And are you willing to join a truly global market leader committed to deliver high quality solutions? Then take a closer look at this position in the Product Management department. The Product Management department at Struers is an experienced and dynamic team that is key to the success of the company’s global leadership position in the materialographic industry. We sell to leading customers in e.g. the automotive, aerospace and electronics market space.
You will be part of a team of 6 Global Product Managers, and with a reference to the director of Product Management, you will be responsible for the global assortment of large cutting, cooling and mounting equipment and consumables. You will work closely together with the R&D departments in Ballerup and Czechia, Operations and MAR/COM. You will also spend 20-30 days traveling to our markets/customers collecting market data and translating user needs into future NPD projects and in-market tactical initiatives. You will manage the product categories, and drive the entire life cycle from specifications to commercial launch and LCM on our markets and segments in close collaboration with our subsidiaries and stakeholders.
Other responsibilities and tasks:
Your key success criteria will be your ability to grow Struers’ market share and revenue within materialographic cutting and mounting. We expect that you in a shorter period of time, have put your mark on the product strategy, know the target groups and their needs and buying behavior.
Experience and personal qualifications
You bring to the position a relevant master’s degree in Economics or Engineering, and you combine your theoretical background with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in larger organizations. Besides being a highly skilled global product manager, your experience also includes technical understanding, competencies working in larger product development projects and a proven record of success within product portfolio management. Should you have commercial and/or technical understanding of industries like Automotive, Aerospace, Manufacturing and Electronics then this is a plus
You have excellent communication skills and it is natural for you to present your analysis, findings and recommendations in a convincingly manner. You have a high proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant product management tools. The role also requires you to be fully proficient in English.
On a more personal level, you are a natural networker who easily builds up relationships within the organisation through results, credibility and trust. Furthermore, you are a self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude and a strong ability to deliver quality solutions in time. You are a natural project manager for your own projects, hardworking, practical, have a hands-on approach to business and are not afraid to take on new tasks or operate in new areas under changing conditions.

- Develop and implement product and market strategies and tactics to obtain the ambitious growth of your product range
- Continuously work with the product offering, value propositions, positioning and messaging
- Be a strong business partner for our sales territories
- Drives annual prioritization process and category analysis for alignment and approval
- Responsible for consolidation of roadmaps across product categories
- Setting a competitive market pricing together with our pricing manager
