Fertin Pharma is the world’s leading B2B supplier of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) chewing gum and specializes in developing and producing nicotine chewing gum. To enable our growth agenda, we seek an experienced and committed Product Developer who has experience with formulation and process development in the pharmaceutical industry. Preferable you have knowledge of the discipline of tableting both within formulation and process design.

As our new Product Developer, you will be part of our development team reporting to the Manager of Product Development.

The Product Development function is an essential part of all development projects and our specialists collaborate with multi-disciplinary specialists from other departments on strategy, formulation, process development, tech transfer and ramp up activities for commercial production. We plan, execute and document the development activities in order to establish the CMC/Development section of regulatory dossiers.

Main Responsibilities:

As Product Developer, you will be responsible for planning, executing and documenting development trials of customer projects in laboratory, pilot and commercial scales.

  • Development of products, with main focus on process development throughout process design and implementation via technology transfer in commercial production facilities
  • You will contribute with establishing robust manufacturing processes to meet the agreed commercial targets for the new products before hand over to Supply Chain
  • Together with the project team, you communicate with customers and external experts during the development phase
  • You contribute to document the development process in order to establish the CMC/Development sections of regulatory dossiers and follow-up with costumers and authorities.

You will be part of projects groups, consisting of highly qualified academics and technicians, where ongoing sharing of knowledge with colleagues is required.

In close collaboration with the project team, you will carry out tasks related to optimization and expansion of our development processes, focusing on effective solutions and minimizing Time to Market.

We are a product development team, where individual responsibilities are merged and we value the opportunity to discuss and strategize about formulation and process development approaches for the different product development cases.

Qualifications:

  • You have a master degree in pharmacy, chemistry or similar academic background
  • You have at least 3 years of experience with formulation and process development
  • Preferable you have experience with tableting technology
  • You have knowledge with the terms of GMP, Quality by Design (QbD), Design of Experiments (DoE), risk assessment and process validation
  • You are proactive, systematic and can establish and discuss a scientific approach including risks and benefits for issues during product development
  • You have good communication skills and are fluent in Danish and English.
