As Project Director at GEA, you will be overall responsible for some of the most challenging projects in GEA´s portfolio. You will lead a project execution team that is responsible for the successful and timely completion of large complex projects. You will ensure that tasks are coordinated and carried out in a manner that meets customer and GEA expectations.

You will be part of a global project organisation with project directors, where you will be able to discuss and develop your skills on a professional and personal level.

With reference to Head of Project Execution, you will become GEA’s representative to the customer and will directly interface with the customer throughout all project phases. Projects may be comprised of several technologies including liquid processing, evaporation, spray drying, powder handling, and automation.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Management of the project realisation from initial design and contract specification to execution, commissioning, and final operational hand-over
• Responsible for scope, cost, quality, and schedule – deliver projects within budget
• Facilitate and steer project manager teams
• Client and stakeholder management throughout the project periods

Your qualifications are a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management from large international projects. You have a successful track record of completing large and complex projects and experience with all phases of a project.

You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle large teams of project managers and project engineers establishing clarity and direction along with building a good and positive team.

Travelling: Approximately 60 – 100 travelling days per year.
