Job description

We are actively looking for a dynamic Project Manager to initiate and carry out development projects within our Logistics area, where we work with large customers worldwide within many industries. The job is focused on products, hardware, tracking/IoT tags etc with a lot of hands-on technical participation.

You will be responsible for implementing projects with competent technical and professional backup from your colleagues in the team in Denmark, Canada, UK, and US. Your colleagues are system architects, hardware and software developers, customer service, commissioning staff and supporters who are all highly knowledgeable within their different areas. Your job is to ensure that your project is planned and executed in a professional way, that creates value for our customers and for Lyngsoe Systems. Depending on the situation, you will be driving both development projects, deliveries into customer projects and to carry through Proof-of-Concept projects with customers worldwide.

The projects will typically require understanding of logistics processes, business acumen, empathy, effective project and resource planning/management, administration, and especially, clear communication. You will work mainly at our office in Aars in Denmark, although some travelling will occur. You will be working closely together with our software developers in Denmark and with our product, hardware and firmware development team in Toronto, Canada.

You will get a lot of coordination with our Program managers and Platform management team defining new products and features to be planned, estimated, and developed.

Your responsibilities will include

• Complete responsibility of one or more projects including resource management and financial project follow-up
• To ensure implementation of projects/products within a given framework defining functions, prices, delivery time, and legal issues
• To ensure that the customer (internal or external) is satisfied by keeping deadlines, cost, and features
• To ensure that customer generally builds up and maintains trust in Lyngsoe Systems A/S
• To ensure business acumen – including upselling opportunities, potential savings
• Be on forefront regarding risks, mitigation, bottlenecks, schedule, test
• A lot of opportunities to get hands-on working with IoT and tracking technologies
• Motivating leadership of the project team
• To ensure good cooperation among the project team members as well as to external parties
• Cooperation with international suppliers and partners

Desired skills and experience

• Experience with technical project management – preferably from hardware, electronics or product development projects
• Experience with budget, financial and progress follow-up on projects
• Experience with resource management, planning and risk management
• Strong in building long-lasting relations internal and external parties
• Strong in motivating and encouraging your project team to meet the deadlines in the right quality
• Good at maintaining an overall focus and to prioritize responsibilities
• Work proactively, carefully, and structured
• Understanding of hardware product development
• Preferably some knowledge of wireless technologies like WiFi, Cellular, Bluetooth, GPS, or alike
• Excellent in written and oral communication skills in Danish and English language
