Senior Project Manager, new IP´s

For KK Wind Solutions A/S (KKWS) we are looking for an experienced professional to take up a crucial position as Senior Project Manager, new IP Products.

Purpose of position:

As Senior Project Manager you will work in the Global Technology & Innovation at the KKWS HQ in Ikast where you will join the relatively newly established Project Management Office. Alongside 26-30 highly skilled engineers, you will be responsible for developing new world-class products for wind turbines globally.

The KKWS customers are some of the leading wind turbine manufacturers in the world, and the aim is to deliver revolutionary and competitive products within green technology that fit the customers’ needs and exceed their expectations – every time.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

As the new Senior PM, you will get the end-to-end responsibility for your own projects. You will lead the projects towards development of new KKWS IP´s. As pioneers within wind power, KKWS is committed to developing groundbreaking and competitive products within green technology. You and the team will be working in the interface between power electronics, hardware and software.

Your colleagues are highly specialized with degrees at master’s and PhD level. So, you will have an ongoing exchange of ideas and balance time, scope and cost to stay at the forefront of wind turbine development.

Key Tasks:

• Ensure the complete project assignment in terms of scope, time, quality and costs and steer the project safely through to deliver as promised
• Coach, manage and motivate the team members, and nurture a sustainable and eager innovation culture
• Meet the KPIs for each project
• Stay in close contact with Project Owner and collaboration partners at universities to make sure the project is going in the right direction
• Report on progress status to top management once a month

Professional Competences:

We are looking for an experienced PM who preferably have experience from a similar role in a global company. In order to succeed in this job, it is important you have experience in motivating highly specialized project team members, experience in working across an entire organization and is capable of staying on top of project plans and spot risks as well as opportunities that drive the project forward.

With a strong drive and great communication skills, you are ready to present project statuses to the customer and management to make sure we are all on the same page. Moreover, you:

• Bring 5+ years of experience with and a proven track record of leading technology projects – more specifically new product development within renewable energy
• Have as a minimum bachelor’s degree within engineering – maybe within power electronics
• Bring excellent stakeholder management skills
• Can support and train development of other project managers and help build the pipeline of further project managers within Global Technology & Innovation to supports our strategy in building an even stronger project culture
• Have the flexibility to travel around 10 days a year
• Support our development journey within Project Execution model and CMMI Level
• Speak and write English effortlessly

Other specific requirements:

KKWS works in the renewable industry. It is therefore important that you have a passion for the renewable energy agenda for a sustainable future on the globe. And as KKWS works on the global market it is imperative that you are fluent in English in both speaking and writing. The primary workplace is at KKWS HQ in Ikast, however with a natural flexibilty for working from other locations, incl. from home.
