Maersk is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) who will dive into data, develop a unified customer opportunity pipeline and drive scalable BI solutions.

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies, business models and capabilities into high quality, simple products that customers love. Knowledge of Warehousing Management Systems is critical.

Key Responsibilities

As a BIE you will have global responsibility to dive into data, identify opportunities and drive scalable BI solutions in the warehousing and depots pipeline. You will be responsible for developing a unified pipeline across all opportunities, driving metrics development, and reporting, and driving continuous improvement across the platform. This role is inherently cross-functional and you will work closely with engineering, business development, operations and other product teams.

• Develop and optimize the data flows for a unified customer opportunity pipeline
• Develop poka-yoke forecasting reporting and improved prioritization logic
• Identify business needs and improvements to track the right metrics and ensure they are reported on
• Becoming a subject matter expert on BI and data specific to programs that you own
• Work jointly with downstream teams to drive a streamlined data feedback loop through the life of an opportunity to BAU
• Providing technical support to other stakeholders who want to develop their own solutions
• Enable self-service BI for partners
• Identify new opportunities in the business for improved solution performance and BI
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain data and develop insights
• Create, test and support User Acceptance Testing of BI dashboards and reports
• Recognise key trends, align to key events, provide insights and suggested actions
• Performing scenario modelling to enable management to understand the impact of different business decisions
• Support the operation and senior management with ad-hoc requests that support business growth.

Who we are looking for

A broad experience in supply chain management, business intelligence, visual analytics or data science and you are a confident user of front-end tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Accounting or comparable field
• 3+ years as a BI developer
• Experience working with data visualization tools and creating data visualization concepts
• Experience with data querying or modelling with SQL, Excel
• Fluency in a scripting or computing language. (e.g. Python, SQL, Tableau etc.)
• Commercially aware and analytical
• Ability to present data / information clearly and accurately
• The ability to maintain a structured workload amidst changing deadlines and multiple priorities
• Autonomous working style with ability to self-prioritize and meet deadlines.
