In the Nacelle Engineering department, we are responsible for the design and analysis of large structural components from the early concept study phases through to the final specification for production. Additionally, we are also looking ahead to verify new technologies, which can be implemented into future projects. You will become part of a highly professional environment with a strong technical commitment. You will face a challenging workday where you will drive various projects.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be accountable for the planning and execution of complex mechanical design projects from the initial concept through to the final delivery. Responsibilities
As a Technical Project Manager, you will be accountable for the planning and execution of complex mechanical design projects from the initial concept through to the final delivery. You therefore will need to have a strong project management background along with an appreciation of mechanical technology. Responsibilities for the role include:
- Overall planning responsibility for the Nacelle Front Module.
- Work with Line Management and the Technical Structure to ensure that projects are efficiently resourced using DK and other design hub personnel.
- Work with customer TPMs and PMs (Hub, Powertrain) to ensure that the Nacelle Front Sub-module delivery meets expectation.
- Drive staged gate deliverables to ensure design maturity at various lifecycle stages.
- Facilitate technical reviews for the sub-module and ensure all key stakeholders are engaged.
- Promote risk management awareness within the team and facilitate risk management reviews for the sub-module throughout the design lifecycle.
- Support line management in ensuring data for resource forecasting is accurate and kept up to date.
Qualifications
- Project management qualification with an appreciation of the staged gate model e.g. Prince 2.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of complex project management tasks, preferably in a mechanical or structural engineering environment.
- An understanding or interest in mechanical technology or structural engineering.
Competencies
- An excellent team player with the ability to work well with others at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to deliver through delegation in challenging project environments.
- Able to show a high level of energy, persistence and proactivity in tackling complex planning issues.
- Very good communication skills to report effectively on the project status at all levels of an organisation.
- Proficient in project management tools, preferably Jira. Solid understanding of project management methodology e.g. Prince 2.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with key members of the value-stream.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at a given time and to keep focus on quality and deadlines.
