The World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) is seeking a Project Coordinator in a newly established position.

The World Diabetes Foundation is a leading global funder of diabetes prevention and care projects in the developing world. Our vision is to alleviate human suffering related to diabetes among those in greatest need. We pursue sustainable, scalable approaches, helping countries meet global goals for improved care of diabetes and other non-communicable diseases. The position
You will join a team of 20 ambitious and dedicated colleagues in a dynamic organisation that values team spirit and strong interpersonal relations.
You will be responsible for helping our programme section process incoming applications using a new application management software platform.
We manage our project portfolio through a shared case management system that stores all key information on projects. You will be expected to establish yourself as an expert in the use of the system and support management and programme managers with various types of reporting.
Your role will also include capturing and systematising innovative approaches and best practices from our local partners. You will do this by working in our case management system and other platforms and applying your experience liaising with international stakeholders working with development aid.
As the position is newly established you will be able to contribute to the development of the job content depending on your personal skills.
Responsibilities in highlights
- Support the programme section in managing the internal application process from partner applications.
- Establish expertise in our new application management platform.
- Initiate and maintain dissemination of WDF learnings on our different communication platforms.
- Capture and systematise learnings from projects, and ensure optimal and timely dissemination of these.
- Act as an expert in our case management system and support management and programme managers with relevant reporting.
Skills - Experience and Requirements:
- A master’s in business administration, communication, international development or another relevant field.
- Full proficiency in written and spoken of English. Other languages (French and Spanish) is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with social media platforms.
- Skills in writing web-based communication.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other relevant IT tools and platforms.
- Three to five years of relevant experience; preferably with knowledge of development aid administration and project management.
- Experience from working abroad and/or in a developing country setting is an asset.
- Persistence, with a systematic approach to follow-up.
- Self-motivation and a strong team-player mindset.
