If so, we are looking for a new Aseptic Manufacturing Strategy Director to join our team.
The position
Main tasks or responsibilities:
  • Ownership of the Aseptic Manufacturing Strategy: Development of overall strategic objectives, drive data/insights on the optimal use of our network considering the full pharmaceutical value chain.
  • Ownership of the deployment of the Aseptic Manufacturing Strategy: Deployment of manufacturing strategy to the aseptic manufacturing network, including program governance, resource allocation and performance measurement on progress and benefit realization.
  • The Manufacturing Strategy Director is responsible for driving the overall strategic direction for our aseptic manufacturing network, which covers operations across Novo Nordisk's therapy areas as well as our global aseptic manufacturing network of sites in China, France, Denmark, USA, and Brazil.
    Qualifications
    Ideally, you have:
  • Master’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Business education would also be preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with 5+ years of experience in a strategic role (leadership a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, resource optimization, and quality management.
  • Proven record of successful implementation of manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • As a professional and personal skills, you have:
  • Strategic Planning: Strategic planning skills to develop and implement long-term plans for the manufacturing network. This includes setting goals, identifying key performance indicators, and aligning activities with overall business objectives.
  • Leadership: Strong program leadership skills are essential for the Manufacturing Strategy Director to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals with informal reporting lines. This skill includes setting clear expectations, providing guidance and support, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Problem Solving: The ability to quickly identify and resolve issues is critical for the Manufacturing Strategy Director. This skill involves analyzing complex problems, developing innovative solutions, and implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis is essential for the Manufacturing Strategy Director to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement. This skill includes collecting and analyzing production data, identifying trends and patterns, and using insights to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Supply Chain Management: Strong understanding of supply chain management to effectively coordinate manufacturing activities together with the supply chain organization.
  • Program Management: Strong program management skills to effectively plan, execute, and monitor manufacturing projects to succeed on the strategy. This skill involves defining project scope, allocating resources, managing timelines, and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Change Management: Adept at managing change within the manufacturing area. This skill includes effectively communicating changes, addressing resistance, and facilitating the adoption of new processes or technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. This skill involves fostering strong relationships, facilitating open communication, and promoting a culture of collaboration to achieve common goals.

    Our organizational unit, Aseptic Manufacturing Business Development & Support (AM BD&S) has around fifty colleagues, who play a role to set the direction, manage performance and ensure compliance in the business support functions that we lead. AM BD&S is an organizational unit in Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM), which is the largest production area in Novo Nordisk.
