Process Engineer for Micro Electronics
Are you innovative and can you develop and integrate packaging processes into microelectronic production to create the smallest products? If yes, we have an exciting job opportunity for you, where you can bring development from the computer into real life production.
Demant in Ballerup is our center of competences regarding automated production using the latest surface mount technologies (SMT). New amplifier designs are frequently released, e.g. for Oticon’s latest hearing aids and consequently, new production equipment and technologies are necessary.
We seek a Process engineer to join our development team. The team uses agile and innovative development methods to deliver production technologies for the benefit of product projects and the production capability.
The Job
You will be part of an agile team of 5 people that work in a Scrum setup using methods for agile development. You will work in a smaller department with high flexibility – and at the same time be a part of a large organization.
Your primary tasks will be:
- Development of new packaging processes for new generations of amplifiers
- Active technology scouting
- Challenge existing design rules and determine new – in collaboration with our product development team
- Optimization of existing production processes to increase capacity, capability, cost and flexibility
- Evaluate and qualify new production equipment
- Create statistical reports and illustrative presentations of results from trials
You can expect to work with a wide variety of tasks. You will communicate and cooperate with a lot of different people, mainly internal colleagues, but also colleagues from other Demant locations and external partners. Occasional travelling is a part of the job.
Your experience:
- You have a relevant education – e.g. engineering - with a focus on materials, microelectronics or chemistry
- You have some years of experience in working with analytic and systematic problem solving
- It is important that you have an open and positive mindset and are flexible to change course, if required by the circumstances
- You have good cooperation skills to use in your daily work with colleagues in the team
- You can prioritize between different tasks to reach your own and our common goals
- You have an analytic and structured approach to your work methods - with attention to details
- It will be considered as an advantage, if you have experience with statistical analysis using tools like Minitab, R or Similan, material characterization, production optimization using 6 sigma and DoE methods
- You are fluent in Danish and/or English
