VIKING Life-Saving Equipment A/S is a global market leader in maritime, offshore and fire safety, providing and servicing safety and fire-fighting equipment for passenger and cargo ships, offshore installations, fishing vessels, the navy, helicopter services, fire departments and leisure yachts.
Our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) segment needs a new project manager who can lead the digitalization projects for the PPE portfolio which includes protective suits, lifejackets and fire suits. Products are manufactured in Esbjerg, Asia, Eastern Europe and USA – and serviced at our network all over the world.
VIKING products are highly specialized to meet the tough challenges professionals face at sea, on land and in the air. Our business is constantly growing which means our processes and customer support is increasingly digital, including advanced the analytics that drive our decisions.
As our new Business Process Engineer you will have a key role coordinating projects between our commercial units and the IT department with responsibility for:
- Managing projects that focus on digitalizing our business processes
- Developing, supporting and optimizing our IT applications
- Optimizing our processes in the central ERP system
- Participating in the ongoing strategy development in the PPE segment as well as cross organizational IT business projects
It would be an advantage if you have experience with SAP, ServiceNow and Microsoft Office 365.
Your profile
We need to strengthen our digital capabilities and are looking for a technically and detail oriented project manager who can see the big picture. Ideally you have experience with the types of projects we describe from an IT and/or SAP environment. It would also be beneficial if you have an education within digitalization, but it is not a requirement.
As a project manager with responsibility for driving initiatives in a global organization you are outgoing and can communicate with colleagues at all organizational levels. You are responsible for a project portfolio so you will need to have a structured approach with a focus on quality and deadlines. At the same time your contact to customers, designers, production, subsidiaries, headquarter support functions and suppliers all over the world means you will need good language skills in English and some Danish.
This key position requires that you operating primarily from headquarter offices as it involves cooperating with production and other departments. Yes, we do use video conferencing, but this is only part of your daily work. You can expect some global travel, approx.10 days per year.
