Who are we: Since 2007, Weptos has invested many resources into developing and testing our wave energy converter, WEC. The results exceeded all expectations, resulting in more than 60% of the harvested energy from ocean waves being converted into electrical power.
Our patented technology is highly efficient, and our wave energy converter can cost-effectively generate electricity with less environmental impact and high survivability. Due to the ongoing demand, we are intensively working on turning our wave energy solution into the world's most affordable WEC.

Task Description: As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing the project of the new WEC within specific deadlines and budget constraints. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring project objectives are met and stakeholders' expectations are fulfilled. The project includes the launch and commissioning of the first commercial projects.

Reporting Line: Weptos is leanly organized as a common team approach. However, the Project Manager will report directly to the Head of Business and Strategy to give a clear decision structure.

Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining goals, scope, timeline, resources, and assigning tasks to team members.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control project expenses to stay within the allocated budget.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Stakeholder Communication & Client Relations: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Team and Supplier Coordination: Facilitate collaboration among team members and resolve conflicts.
- Timeline Management: Track project progress and take corrective actions to stay on schedule.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular project status reports to management.
- Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project evaluations to implement lessons learned in future projects.
Qualifications: bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., electrical engineering, marine engineering, energy/power engineering, supply change management.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar leadership role - preferably with a track record of successful project deliveries.
- Allrounder in understanding the technology of an electrical and mechanical system in maritime application, connected to an energy grid with the logistic needs to commission it cost effective and in time at the targeted location.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, supplier management, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle complex projects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address project challenges promptly.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Presence in the HQ of Weptos in Fredericia most of time and willingness to travel internationally.
Authority: As the Project Manager, you will have the authority to:
- Allocate resources to project tasks based on project requirements and team member capabilities. Negotiate with suppliers, select, and engage according to the targeted commissioning locations.
- Make decisions related to project planning, execution, and risk management. Optimize logistics and suppliers to secure delivery.
- Approve changes to the project scope within predefined limits.
