The position The Project Scheduler is a role within the project office and will be responsible for efficient project planning, scheduling, and ensuring timely project delivery. This position will collaborate closely with the core project team, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain project timelines and proactively address scheduling conflicts and areas of risk. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be highly organized and have a solid understanding of project management and scheduling processes. Your key tasks and areas of responsibility may be summed up as:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project and Primavera, aligning them with project goals and client requirements.
  • Regularly update and analyze project schedules to monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to allocate resources effectively, optimizing workforce productivity and equipment utilization.
  • Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and action plans.
    • Qualifications The Project Scheduler will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, and identifying areas of risk. Ideally, you see yourself in the following description:
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Have several years of experience with project scheduling on major projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in schedule analysis and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices, as well as scheduling best practices and standards.
  • Understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies.
    • The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be highly organized with strong attention to detail. They should also be able to work independently as well as in a team and have a good level of English proficiency in both written and oral communication. The preferred qualifications for this role include having experience in a specific industry, such as construction or manufacturing, and experience working with scheduling tools and software.
