Then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Junior Project Officer in our Danish-Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP).
What is DAPP?
The Danish-Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP) is Denmark’s collaboration program with the Middle East and North Africa. The program helps to strengthen good governance, participation and ensure economic opportunities, especially for young people and women in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan through partnerships.
ActionAid Denmark (AADK) has worked through DAPP since 2006 in Jordan and has recently started a programme in Tunisia. Together with our ActionAid regional office in Jordan and local partners, we work to strengthen youths civic and democratic participation.
Two key components of the DAPP program are to communicate about DAPP-supported activities and results to a wider audience, as well as to strengthen the exchange and dialogue between young people from the four programme countries and Denmark, both physical but also online.

Two key components of the DAPP program are to communicate about DAPP-supported activities and results to a wider audience, as well as to strengthen the exchange and dialogue between young people from the four programme countries and Denmark, both physical but also online.
Role purpose:
As Junior Project Officer your main tasks will be:
- Organising and coordinating events, such as the youth festival, debates, and workshops, both physical and online with various stakeholders hereunder other Danish DAPP partners and relevant local organizations in the MENA region.
- Lead on logistical and practical tasks, such as venue-booking, accommodation and visa-support.
- Support the communication departments in AADK and ActionAid Arab Region (AAAR) in developing and drafting articles to be published, including SoMe.
- Write and provide input to narrative donor reports.
- Supporting financial reporting.
- Give input into the M&E process including quality assurance of data sheets.
- Schedule and take part in relevant meetings.
- Take responsibility for other delegated work areas.
Please note that the position is part time (18 hours per week) and limited for 14 months.
The perfect fit:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- A sharp pen and strong written communication skills.
- Ideally a few years of working experience coordinating events and conferences, as well as facilitating workshops and processes with participation of multiple stakeholders.
- Ideally with international events on digital platforms.
- Experience with reporting to institutional donors, such as Danida.
- Good cultural understanding and the ability to build confidence and trust with relevant partners.
- Experience with financial and administrative tasks.
- Experience from working with youth in the Arab region is an advantage.
- Full proficiency in English.
- Completed relevant education within Social Sciences or related fields.
