On behalf of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO), we are looking for a highly engaged IT Project & Application Manager to take the important role of ensuring high-quality development of the GWO IT landscape. Global Wind Organisation – a non-profit organisation with safety purpose
Global Wind Organisation is a non-profit organisation founded by leading wind turbine manufacturers and operators with the goal of ensuring an injury-free work environment in the wind turbine industry by setting common international standards for safety training.
As of today, there are more than 100,000 GWO certified Technicians working within the wind industry. They have become certified by receiving training from one of the now 400+ GWO certified training providers throughout the world.
How will you contribute
The main focus of the role as IT Project & Application Manager will be on the core application and database, WINDA. which is the database for training certifications and has more than 121.000 users. You will be responsible for the development of WINDA as well as cross-functional IT projects supporting all of your colleagues achieving the goals of GWO. On top of the core tasks around WINDA, you will also take the lead on the GWOs IT roadmap
You will drive the development process, from prioritising and scoping the projects, developing requirements, following up with vendors, and testing and implementing the new functions. Communication with developers as well as internal system users will be an important part of the job.
You will be a part of the Compliance & Operations department with 9 great colleagues in the team including an IT Administrator.

- Having experience with application management, vendor management, and IT projects
- Having a good understanding of and interest in software development processes
- Having great stakeholder management- and communication skills
- Showing a positive attitude and wanting to contribute to the team collaboration
- Being able to speak and write English at a high professional level.
It is a benefit, but not a must, if you have a relevant IT education and experience with databases, Azure, .NET Core, and C#.
