In 3Shape we are super proud of our market-leading 3D scanners and software. Our intraoral 3D scanner TRIOS is already today changing how people around the world receive dental examinations and treatment. To continue this global digital transformation, we are now looking for a skilled and dedicated project manager to lead one of our key software projects.

What You’ll Do

Dental professionals all over the world use TRIOS to provide superior dental care for their patients. Together with the team you’re responsible for the central part of the workflow where the patients are being scanned, and as a team your goal is to deliver a super reliable and simple to use 3D scanning application.

Being comfortable in the role of project manager you’ll take a project through the entire software development life cycle using the many project management skills.

You’ll be doing planning at different levels, from strategic roadmap planning incorporating top-level strategic goals to reoccurring sprint planning, always in collaboration with the technical product owner, scrum master and software architect, and involving the entire team whenever needed.

Communicating, sharing, aligning, and discussing with colleagues will be part of your every-day work. With team colleagues located in our offices in Copenhagen and Skopje, North Macedonia, with colleagues from neighboring software projects, the hardware projects responsible for the physical scanner, colleagues from the program level, Customer Support, etc. There is also a high degree of Top Management attention and you’ll occasionally be presenting and demoing at Top Management level.

As TRIOS is a medical device the Project Manager is responsible for fulfilling regulatory documentation requirements. You will be strongly assisted by the Documentation Manager in the team as well as by qualified regulatory colleagues in the R&D organization, and if this is new for you on-the-job training is offered.

Ideally, we like people management to be anchored in the Project Manager position. Therefore, if you have experience with and thrive by developing colleagues professionally, you will also become People Manager / Team Lead for the Danish side of the team.

Skills & Requirements

In 3Shape R&D we have projects of all sizes and levels of complexities. This specific software project scores high on most of these parameters and at the same time it’s essential for 3Shape’s continued success. You therefore need to excel on all the essential project management skills.

  • You may have been project manager in different companies and for different types of products and have five to ten (or more) years of experience with project management.
  • As a person you have excellent soft skills; used daily when working with colleagues, and perhaps they’ve already been used for people management or you have a desire to go in this direction.
  • You have an educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • As TRIOS is a physical device, operated by dental professionals through a graphical user interface, it’s important that you have experience with (and love) development of products having the end-user in focus.
  • Last but not least you’re passionate about the product. Being part of driving a digital transformation and changing how professionals work around the world comes with a lot of responsibility, and you share our passion for providing high-quality and innovative solutions to improve patient care around the world.
