Senior Project Manager - Energy from Waste and Carbon Capture

Join our global Energy division and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Your new role</strong></p><p>As our new <strong>Senior Project Manager</strong> in the <strong>Energy from Waste and Carbon Capture</strong> team you will join +2000 high performing colleagues across the Energy Division in 35 countries who are committed and passionate about delivering innovation and technology to sustainable energy and carbon reduction projects. In this highly visible role, you will lead project execution, ensuring strong internal and external collaboration, be developing strong relationships with existing and new clients, growing our business and geographical footprint, and strengthening our reputation as a trusted advisor to our customers.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Your tasks and responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Managing large and complex international projects, including management of Ramboll’s consultancy team, design and engineering management, elaboration of tender documents, tender evaluation and contracting as well as management of contractors, design reviews and supervision during fabrication, erection and commissioning.</li><li>To deliver project management in line with international standards. Activities include planning, organising, and manage resources/processes to achieve project or programme objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints. Effective project management also includes the ability to minimize project risks, maximize project opportunity and deal effectively with project uncertainty.</li><li>Managing small- and medium scale domestic and international projects and studies with input from our technical experts to the clients’ satisfaction.</li><li>Proactively contributing to the work in our competence team for project management with knowledge sharing, collection of lessons learnt and development of best practices and tools. </li><li>Continuously developing your technical knowledge and insight through projects as well as participation in relevant technical competence teams activities.</li><li>Mentoring and support of junior team members, providing guidance on technical and commercial matters, and encouraging them to contribute their thoughts and ideas to the wider team and assisting them in their continuous development.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Your new team</strong></p><p>Our Energy from Waste team is recognized as the leading international consultant in this field of business. We provide consulting engineering and design services out of offices in Copenhagen, Harwell, Zurich, Singapore and Perth. We represent a truly international and dynamic environment and undertake projects worldwide in energy recovery from waste (combustion and other thermal treatment technologies), generation of biogas, waste sorting and resource recovery, carbon capture etc.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>About you </strong></p><p>From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.</p><ul><li>B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering (thermal energy, process or mechanical)</li><li>Measurable professional working experience from the thermal energy sector, both with engineering and project management tasks. Experience within energy from waste and carbon capture is an advantage, but not a requirement.</li><li>Excellent spoken and written English.
