  • Ensure clear guidelines and processes are in place for DiPS partners, aligning with DRC and donor requirements, and providing necessary training and support to staff.
  • Lead the assessment and selection of diaspora-led projects for funding, facilitating input from the ExComm during the process.
  • Monitor the progress of ongoing projects in Somalia and Afghanistan, providing support to project officers and specialists as needed.
  • Schedule and lead meetings with the DiPS Advisory Board, and process and address feedback to ensure transparent communication and collaboration.

  • Ad-hoc problem solving and carrying out of ad-hoc office-related tasks.

In addition, the coordinator will contribute to additional tasks/initiatives in support of the overall purpose of the Diaspora Programme. This can include but is not limited to the development of new project proposals (fundraising) in support of the Unit’s projects as well as DRC field offices’ diaspora and CS engagement; QA of relevant proposals and research papers; engagement in/contribution to cross-departmental processes.
