Schneider Electric in Kolding is a Global R&D center focusing on product development of 3-fased UPS systems (Uninterruptible Power Supply) as well as software development for design and monitoring of data centers.
We are looking for a Project Quality Leader to optimize processes and quality and to ensure compliance throughout the entire New Product Development process.
The job
As Project Quality Leader, you work out of Kolding, Denmark, in a global role, where you collaborate with all the functional teams along the value chain, who are participating in the New Product Development process.
Essentially, you are responsible and accountable for the quality of the solutions we deliver to our customers. You represent the customers during new product development by supervising the complete scope of product quality, from product specification via design to manufacturing. You drive the development process risk analysis and quality on deliverables, ensuring the end to end quality for new product introduction.
Based on the lessons learned you contribute with solutions to new product development projects in order to ensure that quality requirements are fully incorporated in new product developments. To do so, you:

Personally, you are motivated by working in an independent role. You are result-oriented and have a strong business orientation, which you combine with an eye for customer needs. You hold excellent communication skills, you are open, collaborative and have the ability to work in an international context. You are self-driven and convincing in the rational implementation of quality targets and quality assurance.
All of this enables you to justify your decisions and thus to challenge an organization and its key stakeholders to maximize excellence in our offer quality. Key success factors will be your ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across time zones and cultural boundaries as well as your ability to manage several projects and initiatives in parallel.

- Support the Project Managers by leading the projects’ quality deliverables in the project execution and product development acting as ultimate guarantor of internal partners and customers’ satisfaction
- Translate quality objectives listed in the requirements into quality commitments to be met in the project and validate consistency of project quality plans from beginning until project closure
- Choose quality methods, tools and systems, derived from the quality system, to be used in the project
- Develop competencies of the project team participants in the use of the chosen methods and tools and the compliance with the quality system
- Evaluate risks during the project and propose corrective actions
The Candidate
On top of your skills you have the competence and personality to convert findings into actions along the value chain.
- You hold a degree in a technical field combined with 5+ years of experience within R&D, Business Process Excellence, Continuous Engineering or Quality/Product Management
- You have experience with applying various quality methodologies like Six Sigma in problem solving or product development/evolution, and you have a Six Sigma Green belt as a minimum
- You have a proven track-record of global operational responsibility
- You speak and write English fluently, and any other language is a plus
