What is the candidate’s primary tasks?

This position is in our Business Unit Surveillance & Mission Systems (SMS); dealing with Radar Systems, Naval Solutions, Wind Farm Solutions, Mission Solutions and Critical Infrastructure Protection.

SMS is growing, and we need a motivated and experienced project manager to help secure our growth. SMS operates primarily international, and you will have a wide interface with both external and internal stakeholders in DK and abroad.

As a Project manager within SMS Programs - Naval & C2, you will join our group of 9 experienced project managers and 2 application architects, responsible for executing international customer projects. Our implementation and development projects always focus on high quality, customer satisfaction and prompt delivery. We have a high level of team spirit and always have the time for helping each other and we succeed as a team.

As project manager within SMS Programs – Naval & C2 you will be responsible for:

  • Project startup, planning, risk handling and execution of your assigned projects according to Terma’s project model.
  • The project lifecycle from initial startup to final customer acceptance and handover.
  • The nature and duration of the project’s execution is often over several years, which demands you have holistic view and are cable of maintaining a long-term focus and ongoing dialog with our customers and suppliers.
  • You will have several projects within your portfolio and will work in close collaboration with our project managers in Asia and North America.
  • Participation in steering group committees and management of your stakeholders

The position is intended for our office in Lystrup, Aarhus, and will entail some travel and you should expect between 25-30 travel days a year.

Our success is secured in close collaboration and stakeholder management with our highly experienced and professional colleagues within Sales, TEC, Production and Technical Service as well as external suppliers, through continued dialogue and follow-up during execution of advanced technical projects.

How to succeed in this position?

To be excel in this position you should ideally possess the following qualification:

Professional qualifications:

  • You have an academic background or equivalent experience e.g., a bachelor or master degree within electronic/software/mechanical engineering
  • You are an experienced project manager with several years of experience with technical advanced projects and preferably certified within project management
  • Experience from the defense or security industry is preferred
  • Proven track record of executing customer projects with advanced technology combining HW and SW solutions
  • Accustomed to managing medium to large scale projects in a global environment
  • Complete project lifecycle project management experience. From scoping and quoting throughout the project implementation and customer sign-off
  • Experience in customer-facing activities and commercial awareness with focus on all financial aspects
